About Fieldwise ABA
What is Fieldwise ABA?
Fieldwise ABA is a fieldwork hours tracking and compliance system for BCBA trainees, their supervisors, and the universities and ABA centers that run fieldwork. Trainees log hours, every monthly BACB requirement is checked as they go, and each month’s official verification form is filled in from their hours.
Is Fieldwise ABA free?
Yes. Logging hours, every monthly requirement check, progress toward your total, importing from Ripley, and viewing and downloading your filled official BACB monthly verification forms are free, with no ads. Pro adds sending forms to your supervisor for e-signature; see Pricing for the current price.
Where can I use it?
On the web at app.fieldwiseaba.com, with iPhone and Android apps. Your hours sync between devices.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Sessions save on your device first and sync when you reconnect.
Is Fieldwise ABA affiliated with the BACB?
No. Fieldwise ABA is an independent tool. The BCBA Handbook and BACB guidance always govern your requirements.
Tracking hours
How do I log hours?
Type a sentence describing the session, say it out loud, record a voice note, or use the full form. Fieldwise fills in the details for you to check before saving.
Does Fieldwise support the 2027 BACB requirements?
Yes. Choose when you plan to apply and every month is checked against the matching rules: under the 2027 requirements, 20 to 160 hours a month, 5% supervision (7.5% for Concentrated) and 60 or 90 minutes of client observation.
How does concentrated fieldwork work?
Each month can be Supervised or Concentrated. If all your fieldwork is Concentrated, your goal is 1,500 hours. If you mix both, Concentrated hours count ×1.33 toward 2,000, as the BCBA Handbook describes. Forms always show your actual hours.
Does it track the 60% unrestricted requirement?
Yes. Your unrestricted share is shown across all your hours, with how many more unrestricted hours you need if you are below 60%.
Can I bring my hours from Ripley?
Yes. On a computer, a one-click bookmark reads every month from your own signed-in Ripley tab. Fieldwise never asks for your Ripley password. You can also paste a month, or upload a spreadsheet.
Forms and signing
Which verification form will I get?
The official BACB Monthly Fieldwork Verification Form that fits your month: the Individual Supervisor form, or the Multiple Supervisors at One Organization form when several supervisors at one organization supervised you. Each comes in the 2022 or 2027 version matching the requirements you apply under.
Does my supervisor need an account?
No. Your supervisor gets an email link, confirms with a one-time code, reviews the official form and signs on any device.
When does the form have to be signed?
By the last day of the month after the month supervised. You and your supervisor each keep a copy for at least 7 years.
Supervisors and organizations
Can my supervisor see my hours?
Only if you choose to share them. In Profile, tap Share next to your supervisor. They see your months, requirements and sessions, view only, and you can stop sharing at any time.
Is there a version for universities and ABA centers?
Yes. Organizations can set up Fieldwise for their trainees and supervisors. Choose Organization when you sign up, or contact us at [email protected].
Privacy
Should I enter client information?
No. Describe the activity, not the client. Don’t enter names or other identifying details of the people you serve.
Who can see my data?
Your sessions are visible to you and to supervisors you choose to share them with. Fieldwise staff access account information only to run and support the service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
